Early sound recording experiments heard for the first time!

Working alongside scientists at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in Berkeley, California and specialists from the Library of Congress, curators and researchers at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History have successfully played back some of the earliest audio recordings in the collection.  Testing groundbreaking digital techniques on some of Alexander Graham Bell’s earliest audio experiments from the 1880s has yielded stunning results.  MORE
