Mediaspace is our own YouTube-style media catalog and distribution service. Below will get you started with uploaded and sharing your first video.

https://illinois.mediaspace.kaltura.com is the current URL. Shortly it will have its own subdomain of https://mediaspace.illinois.edu.

Add Your Video (or just audio)
You will notice there are other ways to upload or create media content. More to come!
Pick a File to Upload
You can upload from desktop, laptop or mobile device.
Add Metadata and Permissions
After the file is selected the upload progress is shown at the top of this page. You will fill in the fields as needed. A good title is important as it will appear with the video when it’s embedded later. Adding tags and a good description make it easier to find your video. This all can be modified later as well.
For most situations the “Unlisted” permission works best for an individual’s media. The user controls the access by where they paste the embed code and who they share the link to this media page.
Sharing a Link
This sharing option will provide a link to anyone with the URL back to this page for viewing.
Embedding Your Video in Other Sites and Services
This sharing option provides an embed code that can be placed on webpages, blogs, Compass2g, etc.
