The Center has established working groups that focus their efforts on exploring and creating best practices for various multimedia-related topics. The Center’s working groups emerge from our monthly meetings and form on ad-hoc basis depending on what the Center’s members perceive to be multimedia-related needs at the University of Illinois.

Archives Practices and Digital Multimedia Storage
This working group explores topics that include but are not limited to: digital media asset management practices, metadata, multimedia repository types and needs and physical storage media.
Multimedia Production
This working group explores topics that include but are not limited to: media file formats and encodings employed in video and sound production, metadata generated and input at the time of media production, lighting for video and sound recording techniques.
