Spinning Tunes
This caught my eye while flipping through my RSS feeds. While not terribly practical it is a fun looking project for the vintage audio folks amongst us. Basically it’s a cool deco looking base and platter made of plywood with a folded paper horn. It a passive design and only uses electricity (battery or AC) to spin the platter.

I’m not sure you could do scratching while imitating your favorite DJ but it would be nifty conversation piece.
